Calvin Abueva
The first anime among the top Magnolia PBA Players, Calvin Abueva is a Filipino basketball professional who currently plays for the Magnolia Hotshots in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Abueva became famous for his aggressive style of play and versatility on the court and that is why he is also known as "The Beast." His PBA journey began when he was drafted second overall by the Alaska Aces in the 2012 PBA Draft. Prior to his professional career, Abueva had an outstanding career at San Sebastian College Recoletos, where he displayed skills and dominance in the NCAA league.
Despite facing challenges, such as a suspension for misconduct during his college days, Abueva has won many awards in his career like PBA championships, Best Player of the Conference awards, and All-Star selections.
Rafi Reavis
Rafi Reavis is a Filipino-American basketball player who was born in New York and is known for his remarkable captaincy in the PBA. Rafi is currently leading the side as a captain and contributes as a center/power forward for the Magnolia Hotshots.
His PBA journey started in 2000 with the San Juan Knights, and since then, he has collected an impressive collection of achievements like winning 11 PBA championships. Among his notable career highlights are three appearances in the PBA All-Star team and the award as the league's Most Improved Player in 2003.
Joseph Emmanuel Arinze Eriobu Jr.
Next among the top Magnolia PBA Players, Arinze Eriobu is a Filipino-Nigerian professional basketball player currently playing for the Magnolia Hotshots in the PBA. Eriobu usually plays as a forward and started his PBA journey after being selected 4th overall by the Mahindra Floodbuster in the 2016 PBA Draft.
In his overall career so far, he has also represented teams like the Phoenix Fuel Masters and Blackwater Elite and then started international basketball while playing for Hong Kong Eastern in the ASEAN Basketball League.
In addition to his 5x5 basketball career, Eriobu has also participated in 3x3 basketball, after joining the Purefoods TJ Titans of the PBA 3x3 league. He later returned to the main 5x5 PBA league and signed a one-year contract with the Magnolia Hotshots in 2023.
Russel Dalusung Escoto
Russel Dalusung Escoto is a Filipino basketball player who currently plays as a center/power forward for the Magnolia Hotshots in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Russel is originally from Angeles City, Philippines.
For his education, Escoto attended the Angeles University Foundation for high school and continued his studies at Far Eastern University Diliman for college. He played college basketball for Far Eastern University (FEU), where he played a main role in the team UAAP championship in 2015.
Escoto was picked up through the special draft in 2016 and joined the Mahindra Floodbuster. Throughout his PBA career, he has played for various teams like the Mahindra Floodbuster, NorthPort Batang Pier, San Miguel Beermen, and currently, the Magnolia Hotshots.
As of the end of the 2022–23 season, Escoto has maintained solid statistics in the PBA, averaging 4.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game throughout his career.
Jerrick Vincent Frankera Ahanmisi
Jerrick Ahanmisi is one of the popular Magnolia PBA Players who currently plays as a shooting guard for the Magnolia Hotshots in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Ahanmisi is basically from California, and played high school basketball at Village Christian School in Sun Valley, Los Angeles, before continuing his career at Adamson University in the Philippines' University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). In 2018, he earned Mythical Team honors during his time at Adamson University.
Ahanmisi made his professional basketball debut in 2021 with the Magnolia Hotshots in the PBA. After his first season, he signed a two-year contract extension with the team in May 2023. As of the end of the 2022–23 season, he has had great statistics with an average of 4.2 points per game in his PBA career.
