This basketball club was founded back in 1975 and played as Royal Tru-Orange in the initial 5 years of the League. PBA San Miguel Beermen Team Overview:

As the name of the team itself shows San Miguel Corporation is the owner of the San Miguel Beerman basketball franchise along with two other teams, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Magnolia Hotshots. This is also the first team who win the Grand Slam Championship in the PBA.

This basketball club was established in 1975 and since then, it has played a series of different names on its jerseys. Royal Tru-Orange (for season 1975–1980) Gold Eagle Beermen (for season 1984), Magnolia Ice Cream Makers (for seasons 1985, 1987), Magnolia Quench Plus (for season 1985), Magnolia Cheese Makers (for season 1986), Magnolia Beverage Masters (for season 2007–08), Petron Blaze Boosters (for season 2011–2014), and finally San Miguel Beermen (for season 1981–1983, 1987–2007, 2008–2011, 2014–present).

The name of the club kept changing but this did affect the performance of the players and staff as a team. It went on to take part in 43 finals of the various competitions in the PBA and won 28 championships. This team wears jerseys with colors, Red, Black, and White.
