PBA All Star 2024 Teams, Captains, Players Selection & Schedule

The rosters of two teams for pro and rookie-level have been selected for PBA all star 2024 matches. The coaches will select the reserve players soon.

PBA All-Star Weekend is just around the corner and teams have been selected through the PBA All-Star voting process. The competition will be played between two teams, named Team Aguilar and Team Barroca on the weekend dates, 23-24 March 2024.

This blog will discuss the PBA All Star 2024 games players' participation, the Format of the match, Drafted players in the latest , and the current roster with the head coaches of both teams.

PBA All-Star Team Players' Participation in the Competition

This year's All-Star teams will be led by captains Mark Barroca from the Magnolia Hotshots and Japeth Aguilar from Barangay Ginebra. They earned their spots as top vote-getters and will have the honor of selecting their teammates from the remaining 27 players chosen through fan, coach, and media voting. It promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent and competition.

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) players dominate the top 10 list of vote-getters for the PBA All-Star Weekend. Ginebra's Scottie Thompson, Christian Standhardinger, Jamie Malonzo, and Maverick Ahanmisi, along with Barangay Ginebra captain Japeth Aguilar, lead the pack. Joining them are Magnolia's Calvin Abueva and Paul Lee, who will be teammates with their captain, Mark Barroca.

Representing the newly crowned Commissioner's Cup champions, the San Miguel Beermen, are seven-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo and CJ Perez, who secured their spots as the fans' top choices. With such a strong lineup, the All-Star Weekend promises exciting matchups and fierce competition among the league's best players.

While the full rosters for the PBA All Star 2024 Game aren't finalized yet (coaches will pick some reserves), we can tell you the format and how captains were selected:

Format of All-Star Matches:

• This year marks the inaugural PBA All-Star Weekend, with a new format.
• Two teams will be drafted by captains Mark Barroca (Magnolia Hotshots) and Japeth Aguilar (Barangay Ginebra).
• The captains were chosen based on fan votes.

Players to be Drafted:

• The pool of players consists of 27 individuals selected through a combination of fan, coach, and media votes.

Unfortunately, since the coaches haven't picked their reserves yet, therefore, till now, there is no information regarding these reserve players.

As per the latest PBA News 2024, Team Barroca Management has appointed Jorge Gallent as the Head Coach of the team for the All-Star game in Bacolod. Jorge Gallent will select the reserve players of the team as the main team is selected on the basis of PBA All-Star Voitng.

Tim Cone is the Head Coach of Team Aguilar for the All-Star game that is set to be played on March 22-24, 2024 in the city of Smiles. Tim Cone is currently working on picking up the reserve players from different PBA Teams to finalize the squad as the All-Star weekend is just around the corner.
