PBA Recap: Jalen Hudson Wants to Win, Not Score Points

Before facing the TerraFirma Dyip, the TNT Tropang Giga first dealt the Converge FiberXers its first loss, 128-122, behind its import Jalen Hudson's explosive 56-point and 12-rebound performance.

Against the TerraFirma Dyip, the numbers Jalen Hudson went down to just 36 points and six rebounds, but he made it clear that he didn't mind his scores as long as his team wins.

"I just wanted to come out here and be aggressive. I know that this game, if we played around, (the Dyip) could stay in the game. I just wanted to do my part so the rest of the guys would follow," he told the press after their victory against the TerraFirma Dyip.

"I made an emphasis on getting aggressive, getting the guys involved ¬¬– and (this) was just kind of the outcome."

Although Jalen Hudson is now averaging 33.83 points, 9.33 rebounds, and 4.17 assists per game, he once recorded a low output of 14 points and four rebounds in TNT Tropang Giga's 93-85 win against the Magnolia Chicken Timplado Hotshots.

"I just thought that was a really low-scoring game. A couple of other guys had it going, and I try to be an unselfish player. It's about the team – they're scoring, we're winning then that's what it's about.

"Most importantly, it's the win for me. I know that for the most part, I'm gonna be able to be aggressive and have points but I also want to share the love as well."

With their win against the TerraFirma Dyip, the TNT Tropang Giga now sits comfortably in third place.
