PBA Prediction: NorthPort Batang Faces Elimination In Game 22022/12/09 Play Now India Bonus
Halowin Bet PBA Prediction covers the playoff season for PBA Commissioner's Cup 2022. The North Port Batang Pier will look to keep their championship hopes alive when they take on Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the second game of a three-game series on Dec 10th.
There is a risk of elimination here in this game for the North Port Batang Pier. For Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, they will look to build on what they did in the first game of the series when they won by a score of 118-102.Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is led by Justin Brownlee who is averaging a near triple-double with over 28 points per game.
The North Port Batang Pier is led by Robert Bolick, but they have a much more balanced attack than Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Halowin bet believes.
It was a strong end to the season for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. They are one of the favorites to win the championship still after they ended the elimination round with the third-best record. The North Port Batang Pier got into the quarter-finals by the skin of their teeth.
They play with toughness and grit in more of a team game. It should be a good matchup between these two in this one as the Pier will look to hold on to their hopes of a championship and Barangay will look to advance and keep going strong.
Game One was All Barangay Ginebra San Miguel
Early in the first game of this quarterfinals matchup, it was a close contest. After the first quarter, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel had a lead of five points. They were able to go on to outscore the North Port Batang Pier in every quarter in the first game. Halowin bet expected a little more fight from the North Port Batang Pier but the scoring of Justin Brownlee for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel was just too much for them to handle. Justin Brownlee ended the game with 39 points to help them get the win.
The North Port Batang Pier relied heavily on their big three in game one. Arvin Tolentino, Prince Ibeh, and Robert Bolick all played 42 minutes or more and scored a combined 68 points. It wasn't enough in game one though and they hope that this combination can come back stronger for game two.
The North Port Batang Pier Rely on a Balanced Offense
All season long, the North Port Batang Pier have relied on various players to score the ball. Unlike a lot of other teams in the PBA, this team spreads the scoring around. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is one of those teams that heavily rely on one player to score Justin Brownlee.
Halowin bet likes the team approach that the North Port Batang Pier plays with. They have had four players so far that averaged 15 points or more per game. One is not with the team any longer but the three of Arvin Tolentino, Prince Ibeh, and Robert Bolick are all still on the roster. All of them have been a great combination for this team. They will need to have big performances from all of them to get an upset win over Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in game two.
Can Justin Brownlee Keep this Scoring Up?
In game one Justin Brownlee had one of the best performances that Halowin bet has seen in quite some time. He was able to score 39 points and almost secure a triple-double as well with eight rebounds and seven assists. With all that scoring Barangay Ginebra San Miguel was able to outscore the Pier in every quarter and win by 16 points. Brownlee will have to keep that scoring up though to get another win to get past them in the quarterfinals.
It seems that Brownlee will be the go-to scorer again in game two. On the season he averages just over 28 and he will probably need to get more than that again to get a win for his team. This team expects to win this game and Brownlee will be a huge part of the gameplan if they are able to get a win to advance. There was some help from other players in Barangay Ginebra San Miguel as well in game one as three other players were able to score in double figures as well.
Robert Bolick Needs to Step Up for the North Port Batang Pier
Unlike most teams in the PBA, the North Port Batang Pier don't have one big-time scorer. Robert Bolick is the closest thing they have to a big scorer at nearly 22 points per game. In particular, he will really need to step up. If the North Port Batang Pier is going to win this game it probably will come off of a big performance from him. In game one Robert Bolick scored 21 points but he shot just 2-8 from three-point range. That shot is something he has struggled with for a while. He takes nearly eight threes per game but makes just over two of them. With that kind of high volume from behind the arc, he will need to knock more of them down to get a win for his team in this second game of the quarterfinals.
Who will Win this Matchup in Game Two of the Quarterfinals?
The North Port Batang Pier narrowly made it past the elimination portion of this season to get into the quarterfinals while Barangay Ginebra San Miguel was close to having the best record in the league. After winning the first game, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel should be favored to win this one as well. They have arguably the best player in the league in Justin Brownlee and score so many points it could be hard for the North Port Batang Pier to keep up with them without some huge performances from Robert Bolick and others. Halowin bet likes Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in this game.
